Backstory:
So here's my second ruckus build. This bike started as a GET lightly modded from a friend of mine. I wanted to build a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) inspired Honda Ruckus. I chose to paint it TopSecret Gold - inspired by Mr. Kazuhiko "Smoky" Nagata's olympic gold medal inspiration to paint his JDM tuned cars gold (http://topsecret.ico.bz). Painting it TS gold was simply paying homage to all the beautiful, finely tuned JDM TopSecret cars coming from this sports car tuner.
The goal was to build a really fast and reliable Ruckus - something with a bit of show and go. I custom built a Taida spec'd 187cc 4-stroke GY6 engine, oil-cooled with an upgraded CVT transmission. This powerplant allows me to achieve speeds of up to 80mph. Stopping this beast required an upgraded 260mm RRGS disc brake rotor for the front and a 220mm rotor for the rear clamped down by front and rear RRGS calipers. Custom gussets were also molded to the rear frame along with a variety of bolt-on's to finish off the bike.
I appreciate any of your comments and criticisms. Feel free to ask me anything. I'd love to help. Cheers!
Here are the latest pics as I continue with my build:

you know you want some of this...
A big thanks to several of the following folks that helped me source parts for my build in no particular order: Daryl Swapt for sourcing several parts to get the little things I needed. It's often the little things that hold a bike back from getting built and he was always there to support what I needed. A big shoutout goes to Dorby for the rims, several RRGS parts, and his v2 mount. He's shown so much support for the community by providing sick parts and doing his best to keep them in stock. Andrew from Drow Sports, Walter from PR Scooterelements, Nik (object123) and Achi from 808garage for several Taida parts for my big bore engine build. One of these guys always had what I needed or gave me advice for my 187cc motor build. Mike at RuckCartel for welding and bondo-ing my custom frame gussets and sourcing this rare paint color for me. He also did a fantastic job welding the header and building my tri-oval dual titanium Yoshimura with strong 304stainless steel. The exhaust is a perfect polished golden color and strong as heck. People still comment on the piping everyday I go out and ride. Big thanks also to Evan at FLP for cutting the gussets for me, and building these easy to install rear disc brake setups. A big thanks also goes to Ming and Kev from Standard Functions for hooking up me and my guys up with some great deals on harnesses, and hard to find parts. Jon and Sonny from Los Garage also get a shoutout for supporting the build with the sickest, brightest headlight setup and inspiration for going bigger and better here in Chitown. Hai, and Tony from rucksters also get a mention for helping me when I needed some highly sought after rPro parts. Thanks to my RGB crew for staying up with me to the wee hours in the studio garage and lending a hand with the build. We had a lot of bloody knuckles, sweaty, shirtless nights and frustrating times...but we all built some sick bikes. I'm very proud of the 6 bikes we built. you know who you are. And lastly, the Chitown Ruckus crew... we had an awesome year growing the scene here in chicago. thanks for all the support in growing it and putting chitown on the map!
Peace.
